Mission & Vision

Our mission is to inspire in others a greater understanding, appreciation and connection to the natural world.

Our vision is to create a conservation legacy that will have a positive impact on the lives of people and animals.

Live the Experience

The Georgia Safari Conservation Park is being developed on 530 acres of rolling pastures and grasslands in Morgan County, Georgia, just one hour East of Atlanta on Interstate-20! We are passionate about people AND animals and are excited to bring this unique safari experience to Georgia!

Meerkat

  1. Binomial name:

    Suricata suricatta

  2. Conservation status:

    Least Concern

  3. World population:

    Stable

  4. Identifying characteristics:

Small, long slender body with bushy brown-striped fur. A small, pointed face and the eyes have dark patches around them, and they have small black crescent-shaped ears. They dig with their long, sharp nonretractable claws.

  5. Fun fact:

Stands on its hind legs when looking out for predators.

The burrows that they dig are good for protection, but they also help them to keep cool from the hot desert sun.

“Consider the educational benefits of such a facility, such an opportunity for families to experience. Think about the educational richness in such an experience for the young people of Morgan County.”

Tim Savelle, retired teacher, Morgan County Georgia Schools

Leading in Conservation

Leading in
Conservation

We are passionate about conservation and educating the public about their behavior’s impact on wild places and spaces! Jack Hanna says that you “have to touch the heart to teach the mind,” and we believe connecting with animals is a critical first step in developing a better appreciation, understanding and love for the natural world. Fighting for animal conservation cannot happen without first seeing, experiencing, and caring about the animals!

Community

Giving back to the community is the heart of the Georgia Safari Conservation Park! Connecting people with animals is at the core of our mission, and we mean it! We are committed to raising funds that will provide admission and transportation fees for kids from Georgia, especially children in rural areas who may not have the opportunity to visit a zoological park.
